Identity verification is available by verifying a candidate and their identification through the following methods: Biometric Verification / Facial Accreditation, Manual Identification, or Knowledge-Based Authentication.
Biometric Facial Accreditation - the candidate uses a mobile device to take a photo of their Canadian government-issued ID and submits a live (selfie) photograph. Facial Recognition is used to compare a candidate’s Canadian government-issued photo ID.
Manual Identification - the candidate uses a computer or mobile device to upload a photo of their Canadian government-issued ID for verification by the requestor via video conference (ie. FaceTime, Zoom) or at an in-person meeting.

A Canadian Criminal Record Check will determine whether a candidate has been charged or convicted of a criminal offence in Canada and/or if there are any outstanding conditions.
Basic Criminal Record Check – is a name and date of birth search of CPIC (Canadian Police Information Center), the national Repository of Criminal Records in Canada. Manual identification is to be completed by the organization requesting the search.
Enhanced Criminal Record Check – is a comprehensive search of CPIC (Canadian Police Information Center), the national Repository of Criminal Records in Canada, and searches for Judicial Matters inclusive of local and PIP databases, any outstanding entries such as charges and warrants, judicial orders, peace bonds, probation, prohibition orders; and absolute and conditional discharges for one or three years, respectively. Manual identification is to be completed by the organization requesting the search.
